The historic 80+ year old and infamous lower east side "169 Bar" (aka "Bloody Bucket", "Bucket Of Blood") located on the edge of chinatown at Essex and Canal and only a 10 minute walk south on Essex from Houston and Ave A (169 East Broadway, "F" Train stop). The 169 Bar specializes in in-house DJ music consisting New Orleans type funk (aka Meters et. al.) and its prodigy, amoungst others... "Deep Funk" rare grooves and jams.
