The Wonderland Avenue is a six-piece experimental rock band out of Austin, TX. As if brought together by the cosmic forces flowing through the universe, The Wonderland Avenue is a collaboration of individual concepts and ideals. It is a combination of taste, talent, and many influences. The Wonderland Avenue consists of drummer, Aric Garcia,21; keyboardist, Gerardo Larios, 24; guitarist and primary vocalist, Isaac Routh, 22; lead guitarist and vocalist, Michael Roy Kelley, 26; acoustic guitarist, Nick Meyerson, 22; and bassist, Ross Fife, 23.
The Wonderland Avenue, excluding Gerardo who is originally from Mexico City, grew up in the small town of Humble, Texas. Isaac, Nick and Ross have played together since their freshman year of high school. It was not until their migration to Austin, Texas, that the band joined forces and combined their creativity into what is now The Wonderland Avenue.
Developing their sound by combining classic and progressive influences with natural musical talent, The Wonderland Avenue has created their own signature style of rock. With their clever, lyrical arrangements and edgy, psychedelic sound, these young men are building quite a following and raising the bar that rock music has been waiting for. In the fall of 2007, the band released their first professionally recorded EP entitled “Inizio”. The self-produced EP was recorded in downtown Austin, Texas at 5th Street Studios and will be the catalyst for their musically-orchestrated explosion.
